From the quest The Breakfast Cult:
Annabel Usher: Great, we’ll have a sacrificial donation drive. Or a bake sale.
Hayden Montag: Delightful.

Ah gotcha, you only made the title to be inflammatory, and then tagged as such. It makes a bit more sense now. You are right that if you felt uncomfortable with the scene you did not continue and uninstall due to your personal life experiences. In retropect I applaud you for that, as I have done the same myself. I will say straight up you misrepresented the scene in question evidenced by using a Stereotype, then proceeded to villify the entire community of players as racist if they play this game. Wow.
Please point to where I said everyone who plays the game is racist because I will correct it immediately.
So…calling out a game on its use of a racist stereotype and the fact that its unsettling is an accusation that everyone who plays the game is by proxy, also racist?
Uh huh. Okay. Conclusion jumping is a pro sport, now.Tumblr in general is fantastic with conclusion jumping, actually. Either that, or poor reading comprehension. Maybe even a combination of the two.
Quick update because I just made it to the next zone in TSW. It’s called the Savage Coast. Guess who the first person I find is? A Native American. I’m not even happy that I found the first PoC on this map because of the association he now has with the map name.
The one plus side is that it’s full of Lovecraftian mythos on this map. Downside is that it brought along his racism.

Well then. That is one game I will not be playing.Pretty much :/ I was SUPER EXCITED about it, because it’s a modern day setting and blends mythology and reality and just…ugh :( It was very disappointing, to say the least.
I wish I had come to that conclusion in beta. I like the playstyle because it’s the closest thing to GW2 gameplay that I’ve been able to find. But the story is really bothering me. I thought that rolling a female Dragon character, you would at least be given a male that goes down on you, not a female. But that’s “social acceptance” that females can be lesbian but males can’t be gay. The headcanon for my character was that he was gay, and when that scene happened, I was extremely uncomfortable with how they were destroying my character’s sexual preference.
My main character is Illuminati, but the racism isn’t any better on their side. They have a total of one black person in their base. One. And he’s in the training room where he can be out of site of all the white Illuminati members. And then I move on to Kingsmouth, starter town. All white town. Maybe it’s supposed to add to the eeriness that they’re possibly all inbreds? I thought this was supposed to be a modern fantasy. Somehow the fantasy of white superiority is being upheld.
I haven’t touched the Templar side because, well, I have no interest in religious fanatics.
I’ve already canceled my subscription before it kicks in, but I’ll keep playing for a little each week until it expires just because the scary monsters are pretty.
TSW has started its early access, so here’s my official Zahgurim, playing on the Arcadia server.
Shooting things down with an assault rifle and keeping safe with good old blood magic!
